A motorcyclist was killed on Highway 79 near Vail Lake Road. The motorcyclist apparently was trying to pass a vehicle when he crashed into aBig Rig driving the opposite direction. The motorcyclist died of his injuries. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
