Early Thanksgiving morning a Saturn vehicle was traveling eastbound on Twenty Nine Palms highway when the Saturn left the road. According to eyewitness accounts the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash. The car and its's passengers were returning from a club in San Bernardino.

According to news reports the driver and one of its passengers were seriously injured while the third passenger, a Marine, was killed at the scene of the car accident.
